I want to post these images but since they do not fit into the other categories I have adding them as miscellaneous images with stories.

The first is of this absolutely beautiful young girl I saw from behind holding her mom’s hand. I was first attracted to her long hair and beautiful dress. Then when I got her attention and she and her mom turned around, I saw her beautiful and outfit. What a treat!

Walking down this busy street in Colombo Sri Lanka, I spotted this woman wearing her motorbike helmet and carrying this very young child. The image seems to tell a story by itself.

The following photos were taken as I walked in a less busy area. It is a glimpse into the life of some Sri Lankan people.

Kids playing outside.

We were invited to have lunch in this woman’s home. The food was simple but really good and this gave us an opportunity to see the inside of a typical home.

This is in another home where we had lunch another day.

This is a downtown shopping area. When I saw this woman and young girl I really wanted photos of them. I had thought that women who covered their faces but burkas did not want people taking photos of them. But this woman was happy to pose for me and to so was her adorable daughter.

I watched these two brothers – the older one caring for his younger brother. Then I met the mom. A very nice exchange.

This is our driver’s helper offering me a sprig of a tea plant.

This could have been posted with my “signs” post but it seems to have a special meaning and was posted on a countryside road.

Walking down this street it was surprising to then see a brick layer working and smiling.

Two buddies on a busy street.
