Interacting with and photographing people energizes me. Here are several people and situations that I encountered in Malaysia.
This guy was sitting on the ground early in the morning in a beautiful park just surfing on his phone. When I asked to take his photo, he said yes, and proceeded to state when he thought I might use as a caption under his photo. “Crazy Asian man playing on his phone in the park.” We both laughed. I particularly love the shoes.

I love kids all over the world. Look at these cuties.

This woman was posing for a wedding photo. I wondered if she could have scheduled her braces for a different time.

I know it is tradition but I wonder how people wear those outfits in 85 degree weather.

No rain – the umbrellas are to keep out the sun.

When we saw these five women together we asked if we could photograph them. Not only did they say “yes” they posed in several spots and had fun along with us.

Hot and she was equipped – umbrella, visor, fan, and water bottle.

On this touristy street I spotted these two women and wondered about their thought process as they got dressed for the day.

This woman was posing for an ad of some sort and was happy to let me also get a photo of her.

The mom was happy to pose. She kept trying to get her daughter to pose and smile but here was the sequence.

The “mobile phone accessory” shop caught my attention. This guy spent at least 10 minutes putting on a new screen protector on my phone using numerous techniques. He did a great job as it is still on my phone and in perfect condition.

I do not know if these two were off to a special celebration but I love the outfits.

This woman was being photographed by her friend so I got into the action.

This was the day of my birthday. We were touring and photographing this temple. Evidently our leader let these women know it was my birthday so when I approached, they began to sing happy birthday to me. What a treat!

This was our guide in one of the lodges in Borneo.

A huge tree in the rain forest of Borneo lost a huge limb and these guys came to the rescue.
