Cambodian people “making ends meet.” That was the subject of one of the participant’s projects in our workshop. Here are two women who spend all day, every day at Angkor Wat trying to make ends meet. One woman meticulously cuts refreshing fruit to sell to tourists. The other woman, lovingly called the bottle lady, collects empty water and soft drink bottles and sells them to make money to buy food. Karl, our tour guide/photo journalist, sees the bottle lady every time he visits Angkor Wat. Here you can see their friendly encounter.
