Shops and displayed items give you a sense of what is produced in a location. Nepal has a Buddhist and Hindu culture. In the image the woman was trying to sell us some of her greens; but when we asked if we could take a photo of her, she went inside her home.
In the bottom image the woman is demonstrating how to get a singing bowl to sing.
Also note the three images with mannequins. I have seen many of them with ropes around their neck – to keep them from blowing over from wind or people passing by. But it always makes me wince.
