People visit Nepal to see the towering Himalayas – especially Mt Everest. Almost everywhere in the country one sees people climbing, trekking, mountain viewing, morning sunrise on the mountains, evening sunsets on the mountains, or shopping for trekking equipment.
On a cold and dark morning we climbed to a viewpoint to see the sunrise on the mountain. As the light came up, so did cries of oooohs and aaaaahs when the tips of the mountains came into view.
And sometimes the fog is so thick you see no mountains.
