Over the Nile River in Luxor Egypt

We had to wake and be out of the hotel room at 4:15am to get to the Hot Air Balloon launching spot in time. Was it worth the early morning wake up? I believe it was.

The experience getting into the basket was truly unique. I was the first in line to got into our basket, which held just 12 people. I was ready to step into the side holes but waited as one guy approached on each side of me. Then, in unison they each put one hand under my arm and at my knee (I think) and hoisted me up and over into the basket. Wow. I was surprised. That is what they did for everyone. Efficient, quick and a big surprise for all.
