These young male horses graze all day in the same field. When they were brought out to this marshy area in the Camargue they began to show their “oats” and entertained us with some play-fighting. Sometimes it looked rather aggressive but I guess in horse language it was “boys will be boys.”

How fortunate to have a flock of flamingos fly over in the midst of this sparring.

Note that very young Camargue horses are dark in color and as they age, they get lighter and lighter.
