Grytviken in South Georgia
Grytviken is an old whaling village with a museum, church, shipwreck, and old whaling equipment.
Whales are all over and made our walk from the museum to Shackleton’s grave site challenging.
Our ship MV Ushuaia in the background
One of our zodiacs is waiting out in the cove
In the distance beyond and to the left of the roof you can see the grave site
Shackleton’s grave site and that of his fellow explorers
The ever present MV Ushuaia ready for us to re-embark
