The area around Akureyri, which is in Northern Iceland has beautiful waterfalls, is known for its fishing industry, and has numerous areas with thermal features. The following images were taken before, during, and after sunset, which during August is quite late in the evening.
These young people are braver than I am.
I post the following photo to show the way down to the vantage point from where the above photos were taken. It is possible to photograph from above without climbing down but the view is better from below and the challenge of getting there is exhilarating.
