We rode from station to station on the subway in Almaty and photographed in interesting ones.

The image of this very long escalator does not show how it is angled. You feel as if you are leaning backward or forward depending upon if you are going up or down but you are actually you are vertical. And you see the people going in the opposite direction who seem to be leaning even more.

This station attendant almost smiled when we asked if we could photograph him!
