Chickens and roosters specifically are a significant part of the culture in this (and other) village in Bali Indonesia. We were fortunate to have a couple of villagers entertain us with their “sport,” which was quite different from anything I have ever experienced.

Fascinating! It seems this is a sport practiced by the villagers. He first takes a mouthful of water and then throws the chicken up as he sprays the water at the chicken.

Notice how they use dyes to embellish the looks of the chickens.
