This 8th/9th century temple is in central Java. We were up very early to get to the location and climb up to a very high lookout point to watch the sunrise over the temple. Actually it was a lovely sunrise but the temple was not easily seen.

But, after descending from the sunrise view, we were treated to a special breakfast with a true view of the temple and a lecture about the history and about Buddhism.

Finally we toured the temple, which reminds me of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
