I love seeing and photographing kids all over the world. In Havana (2024) they play in the streets. Soccer (sort of), boxing (sort of), and ball of any kind are frequent activities.
This really affected me. The Cuban people are very poor but kids seem to find a way. Here a makeshift teeter totter.
To say it was hot would be an understatement. Look what the mom provided so these kids could cool off in front of their home.
These families enjoyed chatting with us and were very eager to pose.
The “victory” salute is something that people do all over the world when their photos are taken. I usually ask them to put down the fingers for a photos.
Boxing is a major sport in Cuba. These kids are getting ready.
This granddad was delighted to show off his 3 week old baby.
