One of the first signs of spring were the goose eggs clustered under a tree around the pond and the expectant geese awaiting their babies. Then, in mid April 2016, the little ones emerged. Mama and Papa are being great parents and teaching their young ones to swim and to stay out of danger.

The irises have been appearing one at a time as they each have a blooming time beginning in mid April. These were taken at Hidden Pond Farm and at Wild Iris Rows in Springfield TN.

I did not know until uploading this photo that there was a critter on the bottom of the petal.
