Bled Island is very picturesque. It is in the middle of Lake Bled in Slovenia and a beautiful sight from every angle as you walk around the lake. But a trip to the island itself is another adventure.
When we arrived on the island there was a wedding reception in progress. What a fabulous place for such an occasion.
A visit into the chapel and then a climb up the tower…
On the wall at each landing on the stairs up the tower were plaques.
From the top level in the tower I could watch three men doing some restoration work.
