When we arrived at this little fishing island we were informed that we landed on private property. But, that gave us the opportunity to meet the local children, who were delighted to see us.

The residents search for shells, sort and clean them, dry them, and finally sell them.

Life on this island is simple and much more quiet than in other parts of the Philippines.

So many starfish out to dry in the sun.

This young boy was so in love with his little puppy.

Children are everywhere, smiling and playing.

That dog was never out of this boy’s sight.

A popular tree to climb.

Every time I looked at the tree there was another kid in it.

Finally, the family’s pig.
