Though eagle hunting used to be used as a source of clothing and food, it is now done as a sport and for demonstration reasons. Below the eagle hunting photos are images of the ancient game of Kok Boru.

I was particularly taken with the relationship between the eagle and the hunter as evidenced in some of these photos.

Kok Boru is a game done on horseback where the players use a sacrificed headless goat as the object. Each team tries to grab the goat and place it in the goal – an area surrounded by tires as seen in the image. They grab the goat from each other while on horseback.
