Again we were up and out at about 3am on two mornings. Why? To get to special places to see horsemen at daybreak. In this first set of photo we had climbed Mt Bromo to the crater before sunrise alongside some horses and their Tenger horsemen.

On our way down the mountain we saw this man on a motorbike with a huge load.

It was cool and misty on this first morning, which gave us the opportunity to see these horses and riders in an interesting setting.

On our second early morning it was cold, very cold. We were met by a group of 20 or so Tenger horsemen who charged all at once and created quite a show of galloping horses, mist, dust, and hollering.
